A tragic accident in Southern California has left many people wondering
how such a horrific crash happened. Five people were killed in an accident
involving a van and sedan in Hesperia. Authorities are still investigating
the accident but reported that all five passengers in the sedan were killed
in the crash.
The fatal accident happened after the driver of the van went into the wrong
lane. The van hit the sedan, which was sitting at a stop sign. After the
van hit the sedan, it flipped over and landed on top of the car, crushing
the roof down into the interior of the vehicle. All five victims were
in the sedan. The driver of the van only had minor injuries.
Authorities are still trying to determine why the van drove into the wrong
lane and hit the sedan. They haven't filed any charges against the
driver but depending on the outcome of their investigation, the driver
could face criminal charges. In addition to facing charges for causing
the fatal accident, the driver could also face a civil lawsuit if the
victims killed in the accident have any family members that are able to
file a wrongful death lawsuit under California law.
When a fatal accident is caused by a negligent or reckless driver, the
victim's family may be able to file a wrongful death lawsuit against
the driver and anyone else liable for the accident. Wrongful death cases
can be complex and there is a strict statute of limitations for these
lawsuits so families considering legal action after a fatal car accident
should look into their options as soon as possible to avoid running out
of time under the statute. Filing a wrongful death lawsuit can be difficult,
especially when you are still grieving the loss of a loved one. However,
a lawsuit can help you receive compensation to help pay for funeral expenses
and loss of financial support.
