Driver blames zombies for serious accidents on California freeway

Truck accidents can be caused by distracted or fatigued drivers, defective equipment, and general carelessness. The driver in a recent southern California accident that injured four people gave police an unusual explanation: Zombies.

The man, 19, had ridden with a truck driver from Tennessee to California. The truck driver stopped at an inspection site, leaving the man alone in the 18-wheeler. The man then drove away in the truck, which had a full load of strawberries.

He lost control of the truck and collided with a vehicle, which started a chain-reaction accident involving three vehicles. Two people were injured. The man continued driving and hit two more vehicles, injuring two more people. He then got out of the truck and jumped into a van, where the driver held him until authorities came.

When questioned about the accident, the man explained that zombies were chasing him and clinging to the truck. Police believe the man was under the influence of a drug that made him hallucinate.

The circumstances of this truck accident leave many questions unanswered and could create a complicated legal situation. Did the truck driver who carried the passenger to California violate any state or federal regulations? Why did he leave the passenger alone for the truck? An experienced personal injury attorney would investigate the answers to these and myriad other questions.
