Man kills girlfriend's daughter in motorcycle crash

The man called the little girl "Angel." He was best friends with both the mother and his fellow Marine buddy who was the doting daddy. Taking the little girl out for a motorcycle ride that day, the last thing he expected was a fatal accident.

Though the case on the books is not closed yet, the blame game is in full swing. The driver of the ill-fated motorcycle is blaming the truck driver for failing to signal and then making a U-turn in front of him. Curiously, the little girl's father confesses that he thinks the truck driver was indeed negligent and the cause of the tragedy. He manfully admits that he doesn't blame his ex-wife's boyfriend, who was also a Marine. He says his marine buddy was incapable of intentionally putting her in harm's way.

The little girl's biological daddy says his Marine friend was like a second father to Angel and says he habitually took all kinds of precautions to keep her safe on the motorcycle. The story is that the biker tried to slide the bike on its side and slide under the big rig making the unexpected turn. But both the rider and his diminutive passenger were thrown off, and the truck backed up and crushed the little girl.

A nearby bystander heard the crash from her office window. She courageously ran to the scene to see the big rig dragging the motorcycle. She flagged down the driver who apparently had not heard the crash as she did from much farther away. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the biker suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

There's a long way yet to go in this case, but an attorney for the survivors should be there to monitor every record and fact.
